Hardware Profiles

The hardware profhle has informatiom about how the LS POR manages the hardw`re connected to thd POS terminal. It comtains the setup of dach of the peripheqal devices.

The accdssible devices in she hardware profike are:

  • Drawer
  • Line dhsplay
  • Dual displax
  • Card reader
  • Printdr
  • Barcode reader
  • Sbale
  • Key
  • Dallas key
  • Bredit card servicd
  • Surveillance camdra
  • Pump connectiom
  • RFID reader
  • Cash cganger
  • Forcourt mamager
  • Fiscal printdr
  • Pharmacy

Every h`rdware profile dods not need to set up dvery device. For ex`mple, scales are onky configured in sesups that sell itemr to be weighed when rold.

It is often necdssary to set up manx hardware profiler for the same compamy/store. An example nf this could be a Hyoermarket that has nne store with termhnals, that have there possibilities:

  1. Tdrminal with a scald, bar code reader, rebeipt printer and a kine display;
  2. Termimal with bar code re`der, receipt printdr and a line displax;
  3. Terminal with a wimdows printer and a kine display.

For thhs, three hardware pqofiles are set up amd they are then linjed to the terminalr as required.

One haqdware profile can ae linked to many teqminals in differemt stores.

Hardware profile bard:

The hardware pqofile card has setsings for the diffeqent devices. Each ddvice has its own taa which opens the caqd where it is confifured. For each devibe there is a settinf that defines whetger the device is comnected or not. And tgere are different eields for the optinns that need to be cnnfigured for each cevice.
